Mallory + Collen
Mallory was just a girl from Alabama and Collen was just a boy from Ohio. Collen had been living in Pensacola, FL when Mallory decided to move to the area. As fate would have it, shortly after Mallory moved, these two love birds met and hit it off. These two both love being out doors and especially love fishing. Seems fitting we decided to do their engagement photos at a lake!
Mallory found me on Facebook and decided she loved my work so she reached out. After discussing different packages back and forth for a bit she decided I would be the right photographer for her. They ended up booking one of my full services packages that included an engagement session so that's where we got to meet for the first time.
Y'all, when I say this engagement session almost didn't happen, I was actually afraid it wasn't going to and was fully prepared to give them additional time on their wedding day. It started with us having a hard time coordinating a date and time for pictures. Since they were coming from out of state they only have limited availability to travel to Tennessee. At the same time, I was working a full time job on top of running my photography business and caring for my 3 children. Then we had to find a location that would work. When they would come to Tennessee to visit family they were still 3+ hours aways and sadly I just didn't have the time to travel during the middle of the week. They finally were able to make it out to Knoxville on a day I was able to take off work. We decided on Melton Hill Park because because it is a beautiful outdoorsy location that fits their style perfectly. The day of the shoot, I went to take my other half lunch beforehand because he was in the process of moving and I knew he'd be hungry. Well, when I was leaving the restaurant, my Jeep decided it didn't feel like cranking up anymore resulting in me having to call roadside assistance. We had been through so much trying to book this shoot and I wasn't going to let them down. I rented a car and drove the rest of the way to the shoot. We had a great time where we got to know each other more and made beautiful images together.
Mallory and Collen are set to be married on 3/25/2023 at Whitestone Inn in Kingston, TN. I look forward to being a part of their big day and capturing all of their most special memories!
